Swindled!

What's your ISP at home? Globe, Bayantel, PLDT...? Is the service okay? What's the average kbps? Are you happy with it? Is the price reasonable? Ang dami kong tanong. Hehehe...I just wanna ask for your feedback, guys. Until now I'm scratching my head in disbelief that somebody from Globe had the nerve to swindle us. We've applied for Globe Speak n' Surf more than a month ago. That's the one that comes with a wireless telephone and unlimited internet access all-in-one. Globe sent an agent (who claims to be a field supervisor) to our house. We passed our requirements (without the ITR coz my hubby left it in his office) and he even insisted that we pay for a subscription fee (995 bucks). So we did. He said we will have our phone within 5 days. And when the fifth day came, it did not arrive. We texted him and he promised it will arrive the following week. But sad to say, more than 6 weeks have passed and we still haven't got the phone. My husband was so furious so he decided to call him but he refused to answer. Aggravated, my husband texted him "niloloko mo ba kami? Ano ng nangyari sa phone namin? Ang tagal na nyan ah!". The agent replied, "Grabe naman po kayo magsalita, Sir. Hindi naman milyon ang nawala sa inyo ah! Isosoli ko na lang po pera nyo!". Grrr...kakainis di ba? This is not about money. It's about keeping one's promises!

My husband was so furious! He called Globe right away and he found out that they haven't even received our application and requirements yet. They don't even have my husband's name listed on their database. Oh my gosh! Naloko na nga kami!

Then yesterday there were Globe agents roaming around our neighborhood distributing Speak n' Surf flyers. My husband asked them about the application process and all. He even told them about what happened to us with that agent. We learned that we shouldn't have paid anything at all because that person is not authorized to get any payment from customers. Whew! So naloko na nga talaga kami! We were not even given a contract by that person when we are supposed to have one.

I was very very frustrated. I need it for my job. But it seems that my plans are not falling in to their proper places. I don't know...But I guess there are things that are really not meant to be.

What' wrong with people these days? How can they do such a thing? He really looked nice and we treated him well. We even served him something to drink. Kaya pala sabi nya ok lang daw kahit walang ITR. We told him he could come back the next day so he can get the ITR but he refused. Gagawan na lang daw nya ng paraan para ma-process na agad. He even claims he knows someone from BIR that will help him. Malyo daw kasi bahay nya kaya ayaw na nyang bumalik pa.

Haaay, how can we be soo gullible? (sigh, sigh...)

sad to hear that.

we also moved to a new place and we needed a landline and internet badly. transfering our pldt landline may take a while plus another expense. I noticed the speak and surf booth at market market inquired and asked somebody to visit the place to test the signal. within 5 days I got my phone and modem. I am using it now...

Hi. I’m glad you were not swindled by them. Good for you. I guess I’m just one of the very few unlucky ones. I’m still waiting for my phone in vain…

Have a nice day! Thanks for dropping by my blog.
