"Kawawa"

I've been thinking of ways to prevent my son from losing or misplacing his pencils, crayons and erasers at school all the time. I put name tags on all his stuff and went to the extent of engraving his name on his pencils, hoping that if somebody finds any of his stuff it will be returned.

I gave my son an ultimatum that if he keeps losing his stuff way too often, I won't buy him a replacement anymore and he'll end up looking kawawa (pitiful) in front of his classmates.

I think it worked! Haha!

Full-time Mommy

Since we've only been getting nothing but heartaches with my kids' nannies in the past, I decided to file a leave of absence from work for a month so I can take care of my kids. Despite being single and childless, my boss understood where I was coming from and approved my vacation leave. My fellow Quality Coordinators also agreed to do all the tasks assigned to me during my absence.

Yes, I am so blessed to be working with such nice and supportive people! :)

Because of them, I am currently enjoying the privilege of being a full-time mom even if it's just temporary. Now I am able to do all my duties as a mom without worrying about weekly reports, quality monitoring and such.

Taking care of two active, jolly kids are quite tiring. As a matter of fact, I don't need to jog or take any fat burner supplements in order to stay fit. Playing with them is more than just an exercise already -- BUT rewarding! :-)

Can you just imagine the amount of calories I burn every single day chasing after my little girl who has just started walking? :-)

Be There For Your Kids. Always.

I am not the type of person who easily gets sad or depressed.

But when my kids get sick, my whole world just falls apart. It's hard to focus on my work knowing that my kids need me at home.

The last time that Greggy was sick, I needed to go to work because I had to submit a report. With a heavy heart, I left the house in tears. It's a good thing my husband was able to take a day off and look after him in my absence.

But his presence wasn't enough to appease the guilt creeping over me. I just had to be there.

Because I was the mother.

And my presence was indispensable.

The things is, I can be replaced by anyone at work. But nobody can replace me as a mother to my two wonderful children.

Since then, I made a decision to be there for my kids whenever they need me for whatever reason -- be it a skin allergy or eczema, colds, asthma attacks, anything!

I will be there for them. No matter what.

My job is important too. But it's not as important as my children.
