When I gave birth to baby Ayesha last year, I weighed 60 kilos (132 pounds). It was the heaviest I'd ever been. I exercised a lot, shed a few pounds, then would eventually stop. And to make it worse, I wasn't even cutting down on my daily food intake (oh but sometimes I do). For months, my weight had been fluctuating from 60 kilos to 59, then back to 60, down to 59 again, then back to 60. It was topsy-turvy! And I only had one motivation then --
to be slim. Because when you're slim, you look good.
That's how I see it.
It's all about physical.
But it didn't work for me that way.
Then I realized I had the wrong motivation.
So in July last year, Leo and I made a decision to run regularly on weekends no matter what. But this time, I had different motivations in mind.
I want to take care of the body that God has given me.
I want to be healthy, so I'll live longer.
I want to live longer, so I can take care of my husband and kids, help others and serve God with all the strength I have.
I want to stay fit, so I can do many things.
Being slim or looking good is just a
BONUS.
These are the things that even the
best slimming pills can't give.
And you know what? Focusing on these things
work for me. To this very day, I weigh 53 kilos (116 pounds) and every one I know sees the big difference. *wink*
My goal is to weigh at least 50 kilos at the age of 30.
Hehe.
And It's my 30th birthday next week!
With a few more pounds/kilos to shed, my weight goal is just within my reach. So why stop now?!
As early as now I am claiming this victory in Jesus' name! Amen!
