Fire prevention

Since March is the Fire Prevention Month here in the Philippines, I want to make sure that all the electrical fixtures in our house are in good condition. This year, there were already several fire accidents reported on the news that killed families and burned houses to the ground. These accidents make me paranoid. I can't help but fear for the safety of my family, especially my kids. This morning I told my husband to have a fire exit built in our bedroom to appease my worries away. After all, prevention is better than cure. I wish we had home insurance though.
