Four years ago when I applied as a call center agent, the employment screening in our company was quite dreadful. It wasn’t a one-day screening process. It took me weeks to find out whether I made it or not. If my memory serves me right, I was interviewed four times by four different people at different dates and at different buildings (our company had four sites then – now we have five). I’d say it was quite tiring.
But nowadays, applicants are very lucky because of the one-day hiring process. At the end of the day, they would know if they made it or not. Thus, it will prevent them from applying at different companies while waiting for the result.
